Registration and accomodation

Who can participate?

Each country is to assemble a country team of 2-6 participants to attend the symposium. The teams should, in so far as possible, include policymakers, policy developers and policy influencers, leaders of practitioner's associations, leading researchers, heads of national career guidance services, and employer representatives.

The team composition should reflect the education and employment sectors and services, preferably representing schools, higher and further education (including VET), Public Employment Services, national career services for adults, national virtual career services, employer organisations etc.

Registration procedure

NB: This is an invitation only-event! To participate you need to have received a formal invitation letter from Skills Norway or been invited by a country team or a country team leader.

Each country team must appoint a Country Team Leader. The Team Leader is responsible to register all the other team members. Before you register, make sure you have all the necessary information at hand (first and last name, e-mail, mobile-number, title, company, country, title).

Deadline for registration of the Country Team was 30.11.2018. If you need to make changes to the registration, or add extra participants, it will be possible until 01.02.2019.

As Team Leader you will receive a group report with a list of all the registered participants. A confirmation mail will be sent to all registered participants.

Costs

There is no symposium-fee. All meals and social events during the event is covered by Skills Norway.

Participants must cover their own travel and accommodation costs. You find more information on how to book accommodation and on how to get to Tromsø below.

Accommodation

After you have received a confirmation mail that you are registered as participant, you must book room at the hotel.

The venue will be at the Scandic Ishavshotel in the city centre of Tromsø.

How to travel to Tromsø

The most common way to travel to Tromsø is by air. There are more than 10 daily flights from Oslo to Tromsø. The flight time is approximately 1 hour 40 minutes.

Most departures to Tromsø require changing to connecting flights in Oslo. There are seasonal direct flights from cities such as London (Gatwick), Oulu/Luleå, Copenhagen and Stockholm.

How to travel from Tromsø airport to the city center

Tromsø Airport Langnes is located approximately 5 km from the city centre.
Airport Express Coach runs between the airport and Tromsø city centre. It takes approximately 15 min by bus between the airport and the city centre.

There is also a taxi rank outside the airport terminal as well as several taxi ranks in downtown Tromsø. The taxi fare from the airport to the city centre during the daytime on week days is approximately NOK 200.
